Top sights in Delhi through pictures

    February 2, 2020 / 0 Comments

If I need to choose the top sights in Delhi, then I would definitely opt for the four architectural masterpieces: Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid Mosque, and Qutub Minar. Focusing on these four monuments does not mean that Delhi fails to provide its visitors with sights to admire. Nevertheless, I am choosing these four monuments as my top sites in Delhi since they truly are architecturally stunning.

A whole world in one city: Delhi, India

    January 12, 2020 / 2 Comments

As you walk by the colorful shops and busy markets and narrow streets and lavish temples - you realize that the crowd has its own language. I do not mean language like English, or German, or Hindi. It is more like a distant echo in the mountains, or a mixture of music beats from bars on a beach. The streets are filed with some kind of whispers - angry ones, happy ones, inviting ones - but together they remind me of humming birds or buzzing bees. All the words vanish in the air. We are left with a cocktail of sounds and letters, while all the individual emotions and messages…

The New Year’s Eve Mystery Revealed

    January 4, 2020 / 1 Comment

We set our New Year's resolutions for hopes of better us and better tomorrow. It does not matter that by the 10th of January we forget them, because at that moment, all that matters is that we realize what we want to be, where we want to be, how we want to be. And when the clock ticks midnight, a certain warmth in our souls whispers that maybe - just maybe - these dreams can become part of our reality in the upcoming year.

The Taj Mahal – a masterpiece that gives shape to love

    December 28, 2019 / 0 Comments

The stillness of the vast whiteness is interrupted only by carved in floral patterns from semi-precious stones. They are so delicate, yet so sophisticated and beautiful. I like to think that his is how Shah Jahan perceived Mumtaz. No human is one-sided or one-colored, but we need to get close enough to them and pay attention to the details in order to cherish them in all of their beauty and existence.

The first rule of visiting a foreign country is: do not assume that your standards hold wherever you are going. Let yourself to become a cultural river - flow into the new environment by avoiding the barriers in your mind set by stereotypes and prejudice and surrender yourself to the rich sea of the new culture.

    Summertime story telling

    August 25, 2019 / 3 Comments

Summer has always been my most favorite season of the year. Even as these three months seemingly get shorter (because I am a responsible adult now duhhh) and hotter, one fragment of this season remains everlastingly sacred to me: visiting the sea. Ever since I was a kid, the salty water was the place where I managed to reach meditative-like serenity and to calm my overthinking mind and over-tensed body just by listening to the sound of the waves. The Earth would roar; I would listen. At this oasis of life, I would wait patiently for the sun to kiss the horizon and blend the sky with the most outstanding…
