    May 7, 2020 / 1 Comment

No matter what the reason for your broken friendship is, please remember this: knowing whose fault it was and what you did wrong might not always be helpful. If you think you “need…

    Ten years in fifteen minutes

    February 9, 2020 / 1 Comment

I notice people my age all around me being perplexed: not only in the field of Physics, but everywhere. On the one hand, millennials bridged the gap of a world without technology to a world fully dependent on one. They left the World with closed borders and entered a globalized one that gives the promise you can go anywhere and do anything. Yet, all of these chances seem to paralyze many of us. Confronted by the infinite number of scenarios, we end up staring in the mirror and realizing we are just confused. We end up asking ourselves: why is everyone doing so well, but I cannot seem to figure…

Can you create a home far away from home?

    October 2, 2019 / 4 Comments

Since the people back where you come from have started to treat you as a foreigner, and the people in the country where you are currently residing have always been treating you as a foreigner - and most likely will continue to treat you as one - is there a way that you can create for yourself a home far away from home?

Moving abroad? There is only one thing you need to take with you.

    September 13, 2019 / 3 Comments

For almost every young person who moves abroad to study or work, the following problem arises. The place where you are going is no longer the place where you will be the only one who is excellent at what s/he does. High school is over and your University collected the best of the best, put them into a carefully selected class, and left them all there to figure life out on their own. So, what do you do when you end up in a group where everyone loves the subject you are studying as much as you do, everyone is good at it, and everyone is alone? Do you compete,…

Yin and yang: the white milk to my black coffee

    September 3, 2019 / 3 Comments

The fear of loosing you as suddenly as my hard drive, somewhere between our “good night” and “good morning”, between our desire and sharing of teenage-years trauma intensifies. I take a big cappuccino, hoping the foam will remind me that you drink your coffee three quarters with milk and that somehow magically you have the ability to add brightness to every darkness and soften up every bitter taste in the Universe.
